Soma (Carisoprodol) is a muscle relaxant, to be used along with rest and/or physical therapy for the treatment of pain
caused by muscular conditions or injuries. It works by blocking nerve impulses (sensations of pain) on their way from the
muscle to the brain.
Skeletal muscle relaxants are generally used to relax certain muscles in the body and relieve the stiffness, pain, and
discomfort in these muscles, which stem from from strains, sprains, or other muscle injuries or conditions.
